Australia is experiencing a drastic skills shortage across multiple sectors. Enhance Training and Hessel Group have experienced this first hand as we struggle to attract and retain skilled workers. Our industry is the care sector, primarily disability and child care where we have a dedicated team of clinicians, support workers and educators providing services for our clients. Aged Care, Disability Support and Child Care sectors currently rank 3rd and 4th for in demand workers nationally*.
The work in our sector is flexible with many of our support workers and educators able to choose the hours they work allowing them to plan their lives, volunteering or other work accordingly. This work is also highly rewarding knowing that they're making a difference in the lives of those in need while also supporting their families and care networks.

At Enhance Training, our enrolments are strong with people looking to supplement their careers or start their careers in a new sector, commence work straight away, earn while they learn and gain a nationally recognised qualification to go with their new skills. Our students range from those who are recent school leavers, people who have reconsidered their study options and looking for a strong foundation to launch their careers but more and more, we are seeing mature people looking for a fresh start. These people may have cared for family members or supported loved ones through challenging times which has exposed them to consider a career in care.
Studying for a Certificate III provides the ideal introduction into a new career with skills and confidence. Working in the sector means students can bring their new skills to work, seek advice or support from their peers and be exposed to further educational or vocational opportunities in the sector and beyond.
