Enhance Training's Trainer and Assessor Mel, was excited to meet with student Jane this week to present her with her Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) CHC33015 - a nationally recognised qualification.
Jane is now a qualified, experienced and confident support worker with leading care provider, My Care Solution.
Enhance Training was grateful to have been involved in My Care Solution's successful Mature Age Traineeship Program where they were able to bolster their staffing numbers to cater for their growing clientelle. My Care Solution and all aged care providers across Australia are constantly hiring dedicated and passionate people to meet the needs of our ageing population in both residential settings and within their homes, it is clear that opportunity is plentiful in this sector.
The cohort from My Care Solution that Jane was part of actually completed in December 2022 but due to family commitments and overseas travel, Jane's traineeship paused and she has completed now. We are proud of Jane for persevering and completing the course separately from the rest of her cohort who were a very close group and supported each other both inside the classroom and within their work. Jane's learning journey also displays that we are all different with many outside factors influencing our lives. We need to constantly adapt to be true to ourselves, keep challenging our knowledge and pathways and ultimately gain the most out of life. It is never too late to start something new, be bold, take risks and learn new skills.
Jane was always very supportive of the discussions in the group. She shared a story in class once about a gentleman she was supporting. When she first started supporting him, she notice a spark was missing. After getting to know him better and noticing a record player in his home unused, Jane got it working again and from then his days were sunshine. This is something I will remember from Jane and I love that she has the skills to pick up the needs of a person and make such a positive impact on their life just by listening and being aware. With so much support available for students including Enhance Training's Learner Support Services which is an initiative and funded by the Government of South Australia, students have never been more supported to succeed. Other supports included, trainers, peers, family, organisations who are eager to welcome passionate workers and mentors.
