This flexible service can be accessed in a community setting that is individualised to each client. Sessions are typically an hour long, but the nature and frequency of these sessions is shaped with reference to each client’s needs. Occupational therapists strive to assist individuals of all abilities to live as independently and meaningfully as possible. This is accomplished by identifying both short and long-term goals in collaboration with clients, and utilising various strategies to achieve these goals. These goals are re-assessed regularly to ensure progress is being made. Hessel Group’s occupational therapy services specialise in helping clients living with physical, psychosocial, sensory, and cognitive disabilities.

Occupational therapists work to identify areas of strength and difficulty to administer interventions that are evidence-based. Their goal-based approach helps to enhance the quality of life for their clients. They create practical and realistic solutions and adapt to changing circumstances and lifestyle changes as required. Their sessions are designed to be engaging, motivating and enjoyable, to get the most out of each client.
