As SWS coaches at Enhance Training, we help students navigate the complexities of their educational journey. When students seek support, we provide guidance, resources, and encouragement.
One of the unique aspects of SWS is its accessibility across different Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). Students enrolled in subsidised courses at any RTO in South Australia can benefit from our services. With only six providers offering SWS in the region, we work collaboratively to ensure that students receive the support they need regardless of their RTO.
Our SWS team comprises professionals with degrees in social work, counselling, psychology, or developmental education. We are not just mentors but coaches trained to help students manage various aspects of their lives. Whether it's mental health concerns, disability support, or academic mentoring, we connect students with the best resources.
At the heart of our work is student-led, personalised case management. We engage in one-on-one interactions with students daily, tailoring our support to their needs. This could involve social work, mentoring, life coaching, and informal counselling.
For example, we recently worked with a student struggling financially but in need of mental health services. We were able to guide them to affordable care options, providing both practical advice and emotional support to ensure their educational journey continued smoothly.
Students can access SWS through self-referral or RTO referral. We promote our services via presentations, emails, and campaigns at various RTOs. Trainers and organisations can also recommend that students contact us, ensuring no one falls through the cracks.
On-Demand Support and Flexibility
Flexibility is crucial, especially for students who balance work and study. We offer support that fits their schedules, with initial contact usually during business hours but adjusted as needed. Our services are accessible through online calls, phone conversations, or emails, with responses within 24 hours.
