Source Kids Expo 2023

POSTED ON February 27, 2023

Source Kids Disability Expo came to Adelaide on the weekend (25-26 February 2023) commencing their national tour taking the excitement around the country.

Source Kids has been a trusted source of information for the disability sector via their seasonal magazine filled with positive articles which is mirrored on their website and digital channels.

Being their first visit to Adelaide for the Expo, Hessel Group were pleased to take a stand giving us the opportunity to connect with people with disabilities and their families and support network allowing us to better understand the challenges faces and the positive outcomes that can be achieved.

Alex was happy to receive a sticker and a lolly pop while visiting the Hessel Group stand.

The expo proved to be an excellent source of information for people who were able to talk to businesses, purchase some goodies, sample products and understand the array of services on offer. There was also plenty of entertainment for people of all ages with a raft of talent on display too. There were many characters walking around meeting people, handing out some goodies and stopping for chat and a photo.

On Saturday representing Hessel Group was;

Sarah - Senior Occupational Therapist

Rohan - Behaviour Support Practitioner

Amelia - Disability Support Officer

Denise - Graphic Designer & Marketing

Sam - Customer Care Manager

Tabitha - Behaviour Support Practitioner

Tara - Marketing Manager

You can learn more about our team here.

We enjoyed meeting everyone, hearing their stories and sharing our business capability. We met some of our support workers, our clients and even our former students who are now enjoying fulfilling careers in the sector. We covered an enormous amount of topics including NDIS, NDIS plans, Allied Health, Therapies, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Early Intervention, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Behaviour Support Therapy and Counselling. People asked about our waiting lists, strategies, support options and in-home care and babysitting services too.

We also met with other businesses who were exhibiting and talked about each others services and how we might work together in the future. Some businesses were interested to hear about Hessel Group Training (GTO) which recruits trainees and places them with host organisations to complete their on the job training.

We are also happy to report that Hope was the winner of our Guess the Number of Jelly Babies in the Jar. Her guess was 102 and there were 112 in the jar. Congratulations Hope, we'll deliver your prize this week.

Thank you Source Kids, we look forward to your next expo and wish you well as you tour the country.
