Physiotherapy at Hessel Group, an approved NDIS provider, is available to NDIS participants of all ages and abilities.
Hessel Group physiotherapists are available to work with our clients in our clinic, in their homes or within a community setting where appropriate. We work with our clients and their families to develop management plans and to deliver a wide range of therapeutic services to help meet their individual needs and reach their goals.
A physiotherapist can diagnose and treat a broad range of conditions that affect the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, and nervous system. They can assist in managing pain, improving mobility, and increasing quality of life. Physiotherapists are trained in the prescription of assistive equipment such as walking aids, and to work collaboratively with other therapists and professionals to promote function and independence with daily activities.
At Hessel Group, we specialise in the assessment and treatment of children and can assist with many aspects of their physical and neurological development. We develop play-based intervention programs to help children achieve their goals and best outcomes.
Physiotherapy treatment aims to optimise the health, well-being, and functional abilities of each child to enable them to participate in everyday activities such as playing, learning, attending school and being part of a family and the wider community.
Therapy is individualised to each client and incorporates a wide range of treatment strategies. This includes exercise therapy, massage/joint manipulation, neurological rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, equipment prescription, education to clients/carers and the provision of home-based exercise programs.
Our therapy sessions are typically an hour in duration with appointments as frequently as required.
