Laura Completes Her Diploma Traineeship

Hessel Group Training Organisation (GTO) and Field Officer, Bernie Crafter is proud (and sad) to say goodbye to another trainee, Laura.

Laura commenced her study journey nearly 2 years ago where she completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care CHC30120, then enrolled directly into her Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care CHC50120 with Enhance Training RTO 40387 which allowed her to progress into a Team Leader role as an Educator.

Laura completed her on-the- job training with Hessel Children's Centre in Port Adelaide where she was able to apply her newly learned skills directly into the workplace learning from her colleagues and sharing her knowledge with them too. At Hessel Children's Centre, Laura was mentored by Centre Director, Hana Simes who ensured Laura was supported and able to gain experience in all areas of the centre. Hana was always impressed by Laura's qualities as a leader which included excellent communication skills with children, families, staff and management along with an eagerness to learn and demonstrates the core values of Hessel.

Since obtaining her nationally recognised qualifications, Laura continues with her team leader role at Hessel Children's Centre applying the theory she has learned in her studies in her everyday practice. Having achieved all of this through her traineeships within 2 years is an incredible accomplishment and is a testament to Laura's determination, dedication and outstanding work ethic.

Laura thrived with the challenge a traineeship brings with studying while working and kept her focus on the outcome to now be a Diploma Qualified Educator. She worked on site at Hessel Children's Centre 4 days per week and studied 1 day a week and for now while her study is finished, will keep these hours while her adorable daughter transitions into kindy.

Hessel GTO is excited to have been involved in introducing another skilled, qualified and dedicated worker to the industry.
