Meet Brooke, an active member of her Barossa community where she grew up, finished her schooling with Craigmore High School, played sport and worked casually within in our famed wine region in production.
Hessel Group and Enhance Training have enjoyed a strong association with Craigmore High where we enjoy attending their expos every year where we meet their students, staff and other businesses. The school takes particular care to introduce their students to all the possibilities that are available to students outside of school and we know they would be just as proud of Brooke as we are.
Seeing an advertisement for a traineeship in Aged Care, Brooke sent her resume and cover letter in for consideration for the opportunity. Being young, her resume is short yet precise and one of the many focusses when recruiting trainees is "You need to start somewhere". Brooke was interviewed by Hessel Group's recruitment officer who was instantly drawn to her eagerness to learn, reliability and efficient nature and she referred her through for a formal interview.
Brooke was offered the aged care traineeship opportunity and commenced working with clients in their homes and within the community.
Brooke was mentored by Field Officer, Bernie Crafter who assisted with the enrolment into the Certificate III in Individual Support CHC33015 with Enhance Training CHC33015 and meet with MAS National to sign the training contract. Mel Averis was assigned as Brooke's trainer and the traineeship commenced. As you can see, traineeships provide excellent support to both the trainee and the host organisation to ensure a successful outcome.
Watching Brooke's growth and growing confidence in her role as a Care Worker has been amazing. Throughout her journey, she faced numerous challenges, yet her unwavering perseverance, compassion, dedication, and commitment enabled her to successfully complete her Traineeship.
Well done Brooke on this remarkable accomplishment of earning your Certificate III in Individual Support! I wish you all the success and best of luck for your future endeavours. 😊 – Bernie Crafter | Hessel Group
St Anna's Residential and Home Care accepted Brooke as their trainee to work within their Brompton residential facility with Debbie and Rebecca from their team to oversee the supervision of her traineeship.
Brooke worked with St Anna's 3 days per week allowing the other days of the week to be dedicated to her study. A major benefit to a traineeship is not only being paid to study but to also use your new skills immediately in the working environment.
Brooke has shown good communication skills with St Anna's Home Care Clients. She completes all tasks asked of her. She is getting good feedback from the clients about the support she is giving them. St Anna's are happy to have her as an employee going forward. Debbie - St Anna's.
Enhance Training congratulates Brooke on completing her traineeship, we are thrilled to have been part of introducing another skilled, confident and qualified support worker into the industry.
